I know it is short notice, but I am going to have a Presidential bon fire Sunday afternoon. This will start around 3 until sundown (4:30 haha). We will finish watching the NASCAR race and I will start a fire at the lower backyard and cook some hotdogs. I will also discuss our plans for the VAMVA for 2020. Bring your own beverage. My address is 17096 Beaver Dam Rd. Beaverdam, VA 23015. Hope to see you then!

The VFW Post will not be hosting an event for Veteran’s Day due to a recent change of our conditional use permit as expressed by the Hanover County Board of Supervisors. It is my hope that all the Veterans will participate in other events sponsored by others. Many restaurants will provide free food for Veterans (like Chick-fila) or anyone displaying a military vehicle on Veteran’s Day. I will be at Mission BBQ on Broad Street on Monday. If you would like to join Fritz and me at Mission BBQ, please feel free to come by with or without your vehicle.

To my fellow Veterans, we stand united in loving the United States of America and, while our popularity rises and falls, we stand strong together in our cause and love for our country.

·         Patrick Henry High School JROTC Christmas Mother Drive

o   Tuesday, December 3, 2019 (12-4): Sponsor was willing to pay us to bring a military vehicle. However, we will bring our own donation bucket.

·         Mechanicsville Christmas Parade

o   Sunday, December 8, 2019: We will meet at VFW Post 175 in Mechanicsville (8700 Bell Creek Rd.) – We will need two open trucks and a jeep for this event.
