 Dear VAMVA Members,

  I want to thank all the members who turned out Saturday for the VAMVA's annual meeting. I want to thank you for re-electing me as your president for 2017, Fritz Eley as vice president, Bill Gagnon for treasurer, and Rob White for secretary. Our new directors are Stan Setzman, Barry Conwell, and Dabney Cowger.

  Our events for this upcoming year include:

   *April 7th-9th- Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in Kentucky

   *May 11th-13th- East coast rally at Aberdeen, Maryland

   *May 29th- Memorial Day display at VFW post 10657 on Cedar Lane

   *June 9th-11th -Big shoot and trail rides at Stan Setzman's range

   *Vietnam Helicopter Pilot's Association Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana

   * Graves Mountain Trail Rides

   * Field Day of the Past

   * Veteran's Day display at VFW post 10657

   *We will have out usual Christmas parades in November and December in Ashland, Powathan, Richmond, and Charles City. Dates will be determined closer to the events.

Please check the calendar for more information about these events and their dates.

The membership voted to purchase the kitchen trailer and we also acquired last year the Nike Ajax guided missile, the 1929 75 millimeter Howitzer, torpedo, and a sea mine.

Looking forward to a great new year and thank you again for electing me president one more time.

Richard A. Crane

President VAMVA
